Paul qualified with British Waterways Board in London in 1985 where the
Mining Code was encountered for the first time. He spent the next 12
years in-house, acting as legal advisor to the main minerals extraction
companies, before deciding to continue acting for the minerals industry
from within private practice.
Paul's area of specialisation is
commercial property, especially in minerals, waste and environmental
law. He is an active member of the Lands Property and Minerals
Committee of the British Ceramics Confederation, and of course the
Institute of Quarrying.
